(March 19, 2010) The dress of Muslim women worldwide walks a fine line between conservative and chic. In Chechnya and Iran, politics affect how much skin a woman can show. Pakistani fashion designers rebel against Taliban influence with revealing clothes, while one female Muslim designer is making fabulous clothes that are both respectful and stylish.

@cbluver22 They have been trying to impose sharia law courts and having them goverment funded and supported. I am not anti muslim, I am anti-religion so don’t feel like I am picking souly on you. Your not that special. And no polititian in my area is talking out about muslims courts that inforce whipping as a punishment. We are a civilised country you may have your religion but you follow by the set laws of our state and the set punishments for such offences.

@cbluver22 Why should I do your research for you. If I was to list several orginisations you would just say la la la your lying LALALALALA So do your own research because there is no way I will change your mind. If a women wants to dress like this, great, but just please do not try and force it on our free women by law.

RULING QUEEN -who OVERRULES all religious kings!
Fact is the faceveil comes from Jewish tradition thousands of years before Islam and a veil is written to be a cloth for a woman in every religion. Christians say they follow the new testament, but the ironic thing is: It is the new testament that has the most descriptions as to why women should wear veils! There is like a whole chapter! And christian people say it´s something “Islamic” and strange to them…

I also want to add that I wore a complete hijab once & I was told I was sexy. The black gave me a tiny figure & made my aqua icicle eyes stand out. My man treated me differently, in a good way…. he argued less. I felt more confident too. I didn’t worry too much about what people thought about my looks & I felt safe because again people weren’t eyeing on my body (I have a Caribbean butt that is larger than my waist which is hard to hide). People ought to try it before bad mouthing the hijab.

I like islamic dress and I am a hindu american. As long as I do not have to see boobs, buts and croches I am happy. The body is a temple and needs to be cherished. My body is only for me and my husband to see. What is attractive is differant from one culture to the next. I am a world citizen and I see beauty in all cultures, religions and countries.

I believe you can be both modest and stylish. I wear hijab and I’m a Christian. But I believe a man will look at you no matter naked or clothed
